"We needed a new boiler as our 17 year old one was giving up the ghost. We read a number of reviews and settled on Luke of Protea Plumbing and Heating, we are so glad we did. Luke came to our house and surveyed what was needed and told us our options. We settled on a system and a price that was very competitive. We paid Luke for the boiler and ancillary parts up front and the balance for his labour would be paid at the completion of the job. Some fitters quote a morning or a day for completion but Luke said that to do a proper job would take up to two days. We agreed with his assessment and within a couple of days he arrived on our doorstep to begin work. First of all he checked our gas installation to make sure it was sound. he then got to work, which progressed rapidly. His installation included the boiler (of course) mag trap, filter, expansion chamber and system flush and new vent outside. The next morning he arrived and connected things together, re-checked the gas for security and switched on. Everything was working perfectly. Luke is a very friendly person and we both got on well with him. He explained everything to us and instructed how best to use the boiler, including the option to buy a Bosch thermostat and transceiver although it would not be necessary immediately. While he was here we confirmed we would be calling on him to carry-out our annual boiler services. We can't recommend him enough. his service is second to none. He is conscientious, and hard working, we are glad that we chose Luke for our new boiler. All the stress of the old one is now forgotten."
